Mosquito control in Pune

Most mosquitoes that bite you were born within a few hundred metres of your home. We find and treat the breeding water around your building and add herbal fogging and residual spraying where adults rest.

Signs you have mosquitoes

  • Bites in the early morning and evening (typical of Aedes, which spreads dengue)
  • Stagnant water in tanks, flower pots, tyres, terraces or construction sites
  • Mosquitoes resting in dark corners, under beds and behind curtains

Pune sees seasonal spikes in dengue and chikungunya during and after the monsoon. Treating breeding sources across a whole housing society works far better than spraying a single flat.

How we treat mosquitoes

  1. Survey

We walk the premises and mark breeding sites: tanks, ducts, pots, drains, terraces and parking areas.

  2. Larval treatment

Breeding water that cannot be removed is treated with larvicides, including neem-based and biological options.

  3. Adult control

Herbal fogging outdoors and residual spray on resting spots indoors, timed for dawn and dusk.

  4. Regular schedule

For societies we recommend fortnightly or monthly visits through the monsoon.

Is it safe for my family?

Our safety approach. Outdoor fogging uses herbal formulations where possible. We ask residents to close windows during fogging and keep children indoors for about 30 minutes.

Every product we use is registered with the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIB&RC), and our technicians are trained by NIPHM. Read more about our human-safe pest control and organic pest control methods.

How to prevent mosquitoes coming back

  • Empty and scrub water containers, coolers and flower-pot trays every week
  • Keep overhead tanks tightly covered
  • Fit mesh on windows and use bed nets
  • Clear water from terraces and balconies after rain

Mosquito control: frequently asked questions

Is mosquito fogging safe?

We prefer herbal fogging solutions for outdoor areas and low-toxicity, registered products for indoor resting spots. Closing windows during fogging and staying indoors for about 30 minutes is enough for most people.

How often should a housing society do mosquito control?

Fortnightly or monthly through the monsoon and post-monsoon months, from June to November, gives the best results in Pune.
